HI the reason I would like a virus check on this computer is because the other day I had a blue screen happen with my computer, and when my computer starts up in the morning and I am trying to get on the internet google sometimes takes a few minutes before it will launch on to the internet, also when surfing the internet it will take a couple of minutes or more to go to a webpage. I have read that the internet might be slower because of heart bleeed. I also am wondering when my computer starts up and it takes a little while to get on the internet is because avast free is updating first thing in the morning.
Today downloaded the updated version of adwcleaner and ran it and it found a file with search provider on my computer I was just wondering if this is just an empty file folder or if this is some sort of search provider add for something that is running in the back ground slowing my computer down.
I did run adwcleaner earlier today and I did push the clean button when my computer restarted and went to the desktop the adwcleaner report came up saying that the file folder Search provider had be deleted. So I thought I would run a second scan with adwcleaner and when it was done the Search provider file is not deleted it is still on my system so I would like to now if this is anything or just an old emty file folder.
I should also mention that while I am surfing the internet sometimes webpages will come up with no pictures and Graphics and be all mixed up and it takes a reload in the lasted google chrome to see the webpage the right way with pictures and the right way on the internet.
here are all the logs below
I should mention that malwarebytes free did not find anything on my computer.
Try disabling “Last Pass” any help? My guess would be that Add-on as nothing else is starting except for Avast! ang Google stuff, which shouldn’t impact browsing speed that much,.
HI Pondus no I do not have a computer business I have one laptop and two desktop computers at home here the person who has one computer gets me to help look after his computer and from time to time his desktop computer is slow so he sometimes is worried about a viruses on his computer so I check his computer for him. Their are times when I have my computers be slow that I feel I should have them checked for a possible virus Pondus.
Thanks for Asking though Pondus for clarification on whether I run a computer business or not I can assure you though that I do not run a computer business I am a just home user who helps family and friends on their computers Pondus.

Computers will run slow, let it be, temperature, hardware failure etc. It’s not also a “Virus”. I sometimes have my computer run slow for a week, and I don’t do anything. Then again, I can/do put my computer through very difficult stress testing.
But even so, the only other time I ask for help, is when my grandmother complains about pop-ups, slowness and weird behavoiur, and my dad (Who works in IT) can’t fix it. (1 other case with Bailey, but he had a very nasty piece of work).
For someone who helps “family and friends” they sure do seem to have a lot of issues.
Have you ever thought about educating them about “computer security/safety”?
It does look a little odd that “whoever” they are have problems with infections, almost daily.
Have you thought about enrolling to learn about malware removal at either Geeks2Go or Bleeping Computer?
Who are you? Just a short introduction, no personal information required.
What do you like to do in your spare time?
How much time per week could you dedicate to GeekU?
How did you learn about GeekU?
Are you enrolled in any other malware schools? If so, list them.
Pick ONE of the following scenarios. Your response should be at least 2 paragraphs long (please not more than five). If you’re having trouble, use a search engine (Bing, Google, Yahoo) to help with some ideas, but don’t copy/paste.
A user creates a new topic asking for advice on which security programs to use on their computer. What would your advice to them be?
A mother is concerned about her 8 year old daughter’s safety online and is wondering if there is anything she can do to protect her from the ‘adult’ side of the web. What would your suggestions be?
A friend of yours has never been on the internet and asks you to explain it to them. How would you introduce them to the internet?[/*]
By the way, you get an answer usually in 7-14 days whether you’ve been accepted or denied. Your application is very private. So only, Mods, Teachers & Admins can see + you of course.
HI Para-Noid no I have never thought of enrolling on how to remove malware from a computer. I should mention that if their is a way to remove malware from a computer it would have to be done over the internet I do not drive or fly anywhere. I would not mind learning about malware removal but it would have to be over the internet and it would also have to free no charge to learn how to do this because I do not have credit cards of any kind.
HI Pondus no I do not run an amateur repair business I do it because I like computers I do it as a hobby for family and friends to help them with their computer problems and issues.
HI Meachel I did click on the links of your last post about geekstoU and none of the links went to any websites it would go to the links you provided but then it would come up with a message saying cannot find on this server.
HI Para-Noid it is not that they get infections on the computer every day or anything it is just that they are sometimes concerned that something is wrong with the computer because it is slow booting up or when they surf to a website the website might take a couple of minutes to load fully. Or the website might no load at all so immediately they think something is wrong with their computer. So I offer to look into the computer problem or issue for them so they do not get mad and frustrated at the computer and the internet.
HI Micheal thanks for the offer at applying at geeku but I am not interested in doing malware I will just continue to come to the avast forum if I need help from you guys on how to remove malware and viruses.
Thanks Micheals for your offer though and your advice.
