If you are talking of iYogi, avast have withdrawn from the contract as there were too many cases of hard sell (of support packages) from the iYogi support staff.
Why not try reporting what the problem is and we will try to help you on the forums, that way you (and others viewing the forums) could benefit from the experience.
Hi, I think you may be referring to the option in Avast! of inviting a friend who also uses Avast! (and is also a forum member) to come in and work on your machine remotely, which is done by sending out an invite and the person targeted accepts. When this option is selected, a random code is generated that the user enters, and the other does the same, and the session between the two commences.
Is this what you meant?
As DavidR and Pondus say, this is a forum, and this is not the current practice of the malware specialists here. As this session would be private, between the two users, there would be no way to share the findings and results of that session as it progresses.
iYogi is no more, as DavidR says. iYogi was a free phone support, but the reported cases of misuse of user’s trust was violated too many times, as the point of the support request was thought to be to get the user to purchase the annual iYogi support contract by some technicians there. It was supposed to be free, but was not for too many.

EDIT: Interestingly, some of these iYogi technicians requested, and got, remote access to the user machines, and used their findings to state the user needed to buy the annual contract to get the help they needed. So, remote access can be a two-edged sword here, as your privacy and your system can be also be demolished by the wrong person. Oops!
Hi. Avast has helped me out of MANY computer situations I couldn’t fix with the obvious steps (every 6 months or so it seems). I ended up buying a mac due to fear of my asus laptop failing for something important in school. I end up still using my pc lptp much more b/c I am just used to it. I do not know any necessary regular commands on the mac.
Thank Goodness I am experiencing this problem the DAY AFTER my stat class ended (frozen pc & programs) / CAN still F8 boot w/ networking).
…But I have been editing MANY photos to print (yesterday) for Mother’s day. I tried to transfer them to mac by email (only 4 at a time & then the darn thing is always off center or dark).
My message was in regards to knowing avast is WONDEROUS at fixing my problem, but I do not use my cell often so I only have the minimum minutes/month (450). Each time this happens, I am on the phone for an estimate of 3 hours. Atleast one hr total on hold. Can you PLEASE call me when the line is free or access my computer through a live chat?
