wrc@avast.com in Firefox & other Mozilla??

Win7 Home Premium SP1 x64 - avast! Free 8.0.1489

When examining the Extensions listing under about:support in Firefox, Avast Online Security 8.0.1489 is ID’d as wrc.avast.com.

Upon searching the local system for, finding and installing wrc@avast.com.xpi in another v20.0.1 Mozilla browser (Pale Moon) it is listed as Avast WebRep 7.0.1456. The 3-green-bar button appears in the Toolbar and allows the rating pop-up to appear and allow voting. WebRep tooltips appear in search results.

Avast Online Security 8.0.1489 and Avast WebRep 7.0.1456 are rendered as such as well in the browsers’ respective Add-ons Manager.

Given…
•The Mozilla browser is not rendered in avast! Settings > Browser Integration
and
•both Settings in WebRep & Antiphishing are checked Enable:

1. Is the non-Firefox Mozilla browser offered the extension’s Antiphishing protection too?

2. Is the non-Firefox Mozilla browser offered Browser Integration sandboxing protection?

1. Pale Moon is not a Mozilla browser. It is based on the Mozilla open source code.
2. avast free has the “autosandbox” and “not” the on-demand sandbox.

That said:

1. I update my terminology of “another…Mozilla browser (Pale Moon)” to “a Mozilla open source code based browser.”
2. I clarify “sandboxing” as being the “sandboxing” in avast! Settings > Browser Integration as described therein: “This includes…sandboxing.”

1. No, Pale Moon is not considered a “major” browser. If it does not show up in the list it is not included.
2. Browser Integration does not include the autosandbox found in the free version. Pro, AIS and Premier have the on-demand sandbox.
   The autosandbox is in the file shield and not the web shield.

There is absolutely no reason to be rude. Rudeness is totally uncalled for and will not be tolerated.
