I Don’t Know Why But Some KeyGen Type of Application Show As Virus. But Those Are Not. I Use It Under UAC Mode It Doesn’t Need Administrator Privilege Also. How I Fix It. My Home Edition Is Fully Updated.
Also, Some Time USB Pen Drive Have Virus With Autorun.inf File, But Those Are Not Detected…
Why would we encourage the use of keygens? ???
The fact they do not ask for admin rights (UAC) is not a reason to say they’re clean…
Can you send the file to virus (at) avast.com for analysis?
[*] Download Flash Drive Disinfector and save it to your desktop.
[*] Double-click Flash_Disinfector.exe to run it and follow any prompts that may appear.
[*] The utility may ask you to insert your flash drive and/or other removable drives including your mobile phone. Please do so and allow the utility to clean up those drives as well.
[*] Wait until it has finished scanning and then exit the program.
[*] Reboot your computer when done.
[*] Note: Flash Disinfector will create a hidden folder named autorun.inf in each partition and every USB drive plugged in when you ran it. Don’t delete this folder… it will help protect your drives from future infection.
It is a folder, just that it is named like a file, the idea being if a folder is there with the same name of a file someone is trying to add it will block it as unlike a file it can’t overwrite it.
I’m not to sure of the effectiveness of this trick (but I have it on mu USB drives), but it can’t do any harm, unless you actually have a requirement for the USB devise to autorun (which I doubt).
Can you send the samples to virus@avast.com ?
You can zip and password the files… Inform a link to this thread and the password used.
You can send the files to Chest and, from there, resend to Alwil for analysis.
Thanks.
