XP hangs after loading aswRvrt.sys

I’ve been offline for 2 weeks and after reconnecting and updating, my computer won’t load past the aswRvrt.sys file, not even in safe mode. I’ve got it running from a OTLPENet cd and run FRST, I’ll attach the log. I’m not very tech savvy and not sure what else to do, any help is appreciated.

I’ve been at this all day as well as last night, currently using my kid’s old half broken netbook to try to find a solution. Really hoping for some help soon, before this dies completely (now the keyboard doesn’t work).

Hi there I will disable Avast from starting along with the associated services. If it fails I will do the same for Online Armour

Download the attached fixlist.txt to the same location as FRST
Run FRST as before and press fix
On completion try a normal boot

Thanks essexboy! My computer booted normally and I’ve attached the fixlog. What should I do next?

Next will be to totally remove Avast from the computer and install a fresh copy… I noticed a corruption in the Avast set up

Download Avast Uninstall Utility to your Desktop.
Download the correct version of Avast
Avast Free
Avast Pro
Avast Internet Security
Avast Premier
Disconnect from the net
Uninstall Avast via control panel

[]Run the uninstalltool and accept the reboot to safe mode
[]Once complete reboot your system
[*]Reinstall Avast
