XP service pack 3 + AMD cpu

I gave a Win XP PC to a daughter some time ago (long time ago)
It had, still has, SP2 installed
It has an AMD CPU
If I install SP3 there is the risk of the infinite loop due to the image blown onto disk by the manufacturer which has the Intel CPU stuff included

Can anyone remember the routine?
Is there a tool to find/delete the Intel file/files

Cheers

That issue was resolved ages ago.

Thank you
I will uninstall the wireless drivers+card too - just in case
I think I will use the Hotfix version
