XP SP2 free antivirus key

Hi guys.
i used to use free avast antivirus and I make promotion of avast. I just want to update my register key on a machine with XP SP2 and I look for the correct procedure to get key.

All around it is said that this is no longer useful. But Avast inform me that this machine is no longer protected ! Ouah.
I press again and again on the link to register and always I get that is is no longer useful.
Yes but I want my machine protected. So I try to Upgrade the program version ( 11.2.2262 ) to the newest and then it is needed to have XP SP3 :(.
Is it possible to register on free AVAST 11.2.2262 on XP SP 2 ?
Thanks

No, SP2 is not supported. You need SP3.

I can’t recall the cut off point for XP SP2 if it was 11.2.2262 then you may be able to use the key from this topic.

Problems registering old version of avast, see https://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=217344.msg1463654#msg1463654 and try the key there.

No guarantee that this will work with XP SP2 and avast 11.2.2262, worth a try though.

Thanks to you for these answers.
I will try the solution of DavidR.
But is there anyone that knows if I am concerned with the assertion of the avast site saying that the software is claiming that there is no more protection is false ?
Does my version not anymore working when licence is obsolete ?
Have a good week end.
Thanks

OK. I read the post of DavidR. I will go and test all I have understood of the thread
Problems registering old version of avast, see https://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=217344.msg1463654#msg1463654

and try the key which is pointed.
Thanks to him

Hi all and @MartinZ
I solved my problem with the key provided in the post that DavidR pointed in his answer

W11332244H9900A0420-8MRTR8W5

It’s worked for avast 11.2.2262 published the 27/04/2016 running on XP SP2.

Avast free for 1 year.
Have a nice day.

Good to hear.

Reference your other points:
I, as an avast user can’t speak for avast. But many years ago if I remember rightly if the program wasn’t re-registered it could well have been unprotected.

The major problem as I (an avast user) see it is old programs aren’t retrospectively updated, that is only for the current version. If avast changes something such as this re-registering, the program may not be able to cope/cater for the changes.

Hopefully this workaround by Avast will last for some time to come.
