No new installation, only updates of programs.
I can’t be sure about the list of updates, but I think : avast, Windows firewall

At one moment normal mode didn’t work and safe mode worked well. I’ve decided to delete unused application (dropbox…)
And after, event the safe mode didn’t work

Is it possible to have logs about last install/unisntall in my system ?

Florent

Lets see if we can examine the lates minidump. They appear to have become more frequent prior to the not booting

From the recovery disc command prompt would you be able to copy this file C:\Windows\Minidump\Mini080913-06.dmp to the USB and then upload it to a file sharing site so that I can collect it and see what is crashing

I put all minidumps in this zip : http://wikisend.com/download/547326/Minidump.zip

I hope it will help…

OK got it, the Avast self protection driver is corrupted

Download the attached fixlist.txt to the same USB as FRST
Run FRST as before and press Fix
On completion reboot to normal windows

Avast will be inoperative on reboot

Great  !
Normal Vista boot is OK after fix execution
But now, no antivirus ?
May I launch fresh instal of Avast! ?

Yes download a fresh copy from one of these direct links

Download the correct version of Avast

Windows updates are causing Avast a multitude of problems as the last file loaded is an Avast one so people see that and say it is Avasts fault

Could you try the following :

Enable AHCI by following either of the steps below, depending on your board model:
1.Press the F2 key after the Power-On-Self-Test (POST) memory test begins.
2.Select the Configuration menu, then the SATA Drives menu.
3.Set the Chipset SATA Mode to AHCI.
4.Press the F10 key to save the BIOS settings and exit the BIOS Setup program.

Hi, I am having the same problem. I ran the FRST program as suggested in the first post and attached is the FRST.txt file. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You have a zero access infection … What happened prior to the boot failure ?

Download the attached fixlist.txt to the same USB as FRST
Run FRST as before and press Fix
Once completed then reboot to normal mode

No luck!
Problem still persists :frowning:

Try this fixlist.txt same as before
