hw to rectify this???

Which type of reinstall of windows? Overinstall or a format and install? I don’t think that an overinstall would have gotten rid of the critter.

formatted the drive …
re-installed win xP + sP2 again

it shows same old error each time when sys starts…

Please post screenshots of the errors you are getting.

Hi,

I have the same error message. I didn´t reinstall windows, I tried out spybot and some Alwil software, deinstalled avast and installed a new version on a different harddrive. Short time it worked, but now I receive the message again. It first appears by booting Windows at the moment, when I have to type my password.

When I mark “yes”, the booting goes on and immidiately after showing the windows background, i am logged off again and windows goes back to the “username and password screen”. Then the errormessage pops up again and again.

When I mark “no”, windows boots normally and after showing the windows background, the message comes again. When I now mark “no”, everything seems to work as usual.

I often use Corel Draw and Corel Photo Paint and at the moment, when I try to start them, they just start for a second and then crash back to desktop. I think they are infected too.

screen shot hw can it shows while system boots…
its just like message box…

those message contents i have posted in the 1st thread itself and for what services of avast those message comes also i have stated clearly…

seems the virus affects 1ly exe and scr files but spreads more quicker…
