Yahoo mail is a phissing site?

Why does Avast report mail.yahoo.com as a phissing site?

Today I was trying to log in to my secondary Yahoo mail account using Internet Explorer 8 (on Windows XP).
(I normally use Opera to access my primary Yahoo account.)
I entered my username and password and clicked Login. Nothing happened.
I clicked again and again, but nothing happened. The browser did not even try to load the page, it just ignored the click.
I tried pressing Enter, but that was ignored, too.
Maybe Avast blocked sending the form?

Then I clicked the link “I can’t acces my account”. Now Avast popped a warning about phissing site.
I closed Internet Explorer and then tried with Firefox.

On Firefox, when I entered mail.yahoo.com (the login page), Avast immediately popped the phissing warning.
I clicked “Skip this warning”, but the warning just popped again.

I then tried with Opera. It had no problem (maybe because Yahoo does not “support” Opera?).

I am getting no Alert from my Avast Internet Security.

Something similiar is already discussed in the forum but i cannot find it yet. :frowning:

Try looking in the viruses and worms forum.

Strange you couldn’t find it you posted 5 time in it, http://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=132441.0.

Ive just searched through the viruses and worms for something with yahoo.
Maybe i have not seen it, my own fall… :-X

try going to your profile…and post… should then be able to find your own posts…

I didn’t even do that or search, I just went to the viruses and worms forum and scrolled down the topics list until I found it or rather a similar issue ‘phishing webmail’ in the title.

You have to attack these things from different angles at times as there is no guarantee that what you search for will be what it is called.
