Since 23 December when I’ve used Yahoo Search Engine I have received a Mal URL Blocked message from Avast. The company cannot solve this problem and I am absolutely lost and worried. Can anyone help with this please?

Yes, I get this too. I moved to Chrome over the Xmas hols and now EVERY Yahoo search is blocked by Avast. It doesn’t do it with IE8. It just means that I use Google as a search engine instead. Annoying, as my email is with Yahoo & it’s my start up home page.

Avast definitely need to have words with Yahoo about this.

Thank you for replying to me and saying you have the same problem. I too now just use Google as my search engine which, like for you, is inconvenient as I used Yahoo as myhome page and for emails. I have tried, to no avail, to get Avast to deal with this but they do not reply.

No problems using Yahoo search here with IE9

Do you only get the alert when using chrome ?

I ha ve the same problems with yahoo and avast… All my searchs with yahoo are blocked…
