Changed to Avast! free anti-virus on recommendation from Computeractive magazine and also less favourable reviews for AVG. Lovely product but just one problem - why the Yahoo toolbar following my Chrome toolbar ? After a little investigation, seems that Yahoo acting as malware, but avast! doesn’t recognise this. If I had wanted Yahoo, I would have signed up for it. Anybody know how I can get rid of this annoying add-on ?
It wasn’t avast nor was it through avast you got the Yahoo Toolbar.
Try running the “avast browser cleanup” tool. The browser cleanup tool
helps to minimize junk toolbars. I helped a friend who had multiple toolbars,
eight to be exact. I showed him how to use the cleanup tool and voila no
more extra toolbars.
GUI>Tools>click “Browser Cleanup”
