Yesterday's date shows after update

Excuse me friends, but on one of my computers which has avast! FREE installed, when avast! update slides up it always shows the day before.

If I check “about” the actual day shows up.

I did a search here on the forum and found nothing.

I will be going back to AIS soon but in the meantime do you have any findings on this very insignificant problem?

Thank you.

The only thing I would be concerned about is that the release date matches the VPS version that you have in the Maintenance, Update section of the UI.

I don’t see any date in the about avast as all it is showing is the program version and VPS version (not a date as such).

So I really am not sure what it is that you are queering ?

Hi David, thanks for the reply.

The computer is in another building on my property so it’s not easily available right now but I will say this - I tried a repair and it picked up the proper date but then I have to change the sound files back so I stopped doing that.

Not a big deal but I was just curious if anyone else had experienced this.

Up until mid April it had AIS installed and I never experienced that.

Do you mean the popup when you’ve received a definition update?

DJBone

Yes

Which is why I queried it as there is no date on the update pop-up only the VPS version of that update.

Whilst that VPS version has an implied date due to its format it won’t necessarily match the system date as the VPS version. This is for two reasons, one the difference in time zones and two the VPS version number relates to the time/date of release.

Thanks David.

You’re welcome.
