Yet anorher 'MALICIOUS URL BLOCKED' case...

avast Network Shield has been popping up approx. every 60-90 seconds. The fhree that come up most often are: onceagaincrap.com/z/, yetanothersheet.com, and 85.195.92.10/z/. All of them show the associated process as: c:\WINDOWS\System32\svchost.exe. I believe the problems started when I initiated an avast full system scan and it found 16 JS:ScriptIP-inf Trojans, which it quarantined. I have scanned a number of times with MBAM with nothing found, as well as a few others w/ no visible results. My Windows XP system has gotten so erratic, I really need expert help, please!

Thank You, TopsyT

Please attach your logs. (MBAM, OTL and aswMBR…!!)

Hi…Apologies for the extended time to reply to your last post, essexboy…I had to deal w/ unrelated family issues. Anyways, I went ahead and followed evrything u said, up until the last step of ‘copying/pasting log in next reply’…Well once log window came up, clicking right mouse button to bring up context menu did nothing, and could not find a way to save or copy TDSSKilller log. Ohyeah,…Upon exiting TDSSKiller log window, and ran the fixes for all detected malicious/suspicious objects, and after exiting that program, Avast started popping up a few times showing rootkits were detected/found! so I did go straightaway into my Avast Virus Vault, and listed were 5 rootkits, and 1 Win32 malware object. I will list all 6 below:

Win32:Alureon-MJ@mbr [Rtk]
Win32:Malware-gen
Win32:Alureon-AUV [Rtk]
Win32:Rootkit-gen [Rtk]
Win32:Rootkit-gen [Rtk]
Win64:Alureon-B@mbr [Rtk]

Thanks, Trent

The TDSSKIller log should be located at C:\TDSSKiller date time
Please attach that log

Here is the requested log from TDSSKiller… it was located exactly where you said it would be!

OK re-run TDSSKiller with the same parameters
When you get to this part select delete:

\Device\Harddisk0\DR0 ( TDSS File System )

Avast will alert as the files are being moved.

Once done could you let me know what problems remain

Hi…Re-ran TDSSKiller, Avast alerted and moved it. Have been using the compter for some hours now, and everything is looking good so far :::crosses fingers::: I really appreciate all your help!
