as usual, after some period, there is another large bunch of Trojan-gens added in the today’s update. We have tested is for long time so I do not expect serious problems from it. If you have some file which you believe is not Trojan-gen however, please send it as soon as possible to virus [at] avast [dot] com e-mail address.

Yay, one of my samples are finaly being detected as with this vps update (Win32:Trojan-gen. {Other}), however the other two (from the same family)are not ??? so i sent them off again, hope they will be detected soon.

thanks for the update, I will test it later today against the malware collection I have and will ofcourse (as always) report any ‘negative’ results.
out of interest, how many virus`s/trojans/worms etc does avast now detect?
I`d like to know ;D
