Yet another one: URL:Mal getusaaall.info

Hello,

I don’t think I need to explain the problem, but I will for clarity. Since yesterday avast keeps on alerting me that it has blocked something nasty. When I click on the button for more information I get the same message as a lot of people here:

URL:Mal hxxp://getusaaall.info…

in svchost.exe.

I went and downloaded Malwarebytes but upon completion of the scan, my computer flipped out (nothing responded) and I wasn’t able to save the log file. The log file attached is from a second scan. The first scan showed about 23 problems. The sceond one none.

I also downloaded FRST and ran it after I ran Malwarebytes. It generated two logs (?), which I both attached.

I can’t finish the last scan (aswmbr?) due to an error. It says avast’s antirootkit doesn’t work or respond (I forgot).

Any advice or help is dearly, dearly appreciated.

And wow, are there actually people who get the verification thing right the first time?

edit: it’s also hxxp://getmuzicas.info

Let me know if the alerts continue after this

Save this as fixlist.txt, in the same location as FRST.exe
Run FRST and press Fix
On completion a log will be generated please post that

Thanks for the quick reply.

The problem still occurs. It occured immediately after the scan and after I restarted the computer and connected to the internet again, it happened again.

Notes:

 3. If after the reboot you get errors about programmes being marked for deletion then reboot, that will cure it.

Please make sure you include the combo fix log in your next reply as well as describe how your computer is running now

Hello again. First, I’d like to thank you again for the time and effort you’re putting into this. It’s really appreciated. Thanks.

There weren’t any problems when my computer was rebooted. Firefox wasn’t my standard browser anymore, that’s about all.
The problem hasn’t yet occured again (I’ve been online again for about 10 minutes).

I got a bit confused and I might be attaching the same file twice. Are there two files? I saved the log that opened automatically after the scan on my desktop as combolog. I was afraid I might loose it if I didn’t. I hope I didn’t mess anything up.

I’ll gladly follow any more instructions you might have.

I also have another question. I know I downloaded a programme or three yesterday and the problem started occuring yesterday but is it possible that it found its way onto my computer through some other way like a bad link I might have clicked?

No this one comes bundled with software downloaded from disreputable sites, especially free music ones

If all is well tomorrow let me know and I will tidy up

Thanks for the information. I will keep you posted.

I’ve been online for about two hours (I was at work and didn’t have access to my computer) and the warning hasn’t appeared again so far.

Subject to no further problems

I will remove my tools now and give some recommendations, but, I would like you to run for 24 hours or so and come back if you have any problems

Now the best part of the day ----- Your log now appears clean

A good workman always cleans up after himself so…The following will implement some cleanup procedures as well as reset System Restore points:

Note that there is a space between " ComboFix " and " /Uninstall " .

Then click OK (or press Enter ).
Wait for the uninstall process to complete.
