my App says "You are uprotected and the avast service is off’ after i update the latest version
Have you rebooted since ? Also did you upgrade from V8 to V9
Same issue here… And yes, I have rebooted. I have also “repaired” the installation as suggested by others and then rebooted. Same problem.
If you upgraded from V8 to V9 then
Download Avast Uninstall Utility to your Desktop.
Download the correct version of Avast
Avast Free
Avast Pro
Avast Internet Security
Avast Premier
Disconnect from the net
Uninstall Avast via control panel
[]Run the uninstalltool and accept the reboot to safe mode
[]Once complete reboot your system
[*]Reinstall Avast
