You can,t run 2AV programs with real time protection ..Can you....?

Hi

You can,t run 2AV programs with real time protection…can you run AV program with real time protection and AS program with real time protection together? Thank you.

Have a nice day

You can run 2 antivirus programs at the same time but most of them can cause problems and slow down your computer alot.

yes, but it isn’t needed with avast!, avast! has a good built-in a/s.

Windows Defender is a good choice if you want to run another a/s,

it runs as a service so there isn’t likely to be any conflict.

You can’t run 2 AVs at the same time. Even if they are not having issues, for now, they will when they have to detect something. AS can be installed along side avast, but avast already has AS.

Hi

So I can AIS and CS together without any problems with real time protection.

Have a nice day

Don’t run two conventional a/v’s!

If you insist upon running two a/v’s, run one conventional and one cloud.

Example: avast! 5 Free and Immunet Protect Free

can you run AV program with real time protection and AS program with real time protection together?
yes I am running avast! AIS and MBAM PRO, no problem as MBAM is designed to be run alongside AV, the MBAM IP blocking is working great

On one computer i also have run AV + MBAM pro + SASpro + Norman Ad-Aware PRO and it worked fine
have now removed Ad-Aware and only use the auto update function on SAS pro
(Norman Ad-Aware is a licensend Lavasoft Ad-Aware version but without antivirus and mail scan)

What is CS ?

What is CS ?

CS is CounterSpy

The only thing I have heard of counterspy is that it is a bit of a resource hog. Also takes up lots of hard disk space. SAS and or MBAM are less resource hungry and compliment avast. If you opt for both, then only one should be resident if you choose or feel the need for resident protection.

Do not run two av’s even if one is turned off as the low level driver’s will conflict, yes you can run a realtime anti spyware malware along side avast with no problem’s, i would recommend malwarebyte’s pro as being one of the best that there are for a $20 life long license or just the free if you dont wish to buy but the benefit’s of pro’s realtime and ip blocking are well worth it. You can alway’s just run window’s defender alongside but i find defender quite weak and never detect’s anything.

defender alongside but i find defender quite weak and never detect's anything.
That could just mean that you have a clean computer ;) Malwarebytes never find anything on mine ;D

It’s not what it find’s on the system but what it stop’s comming in. Malwarebyte’s is far superior is every aspect compared to defender.

I would never run CounterSpy® as MalwareBytes Anti-Malware (MBAM) is much better.

Read Pondus’ post.

What the heck is a Ponosen uporabnik ???

Thx for you reply but I’ve already bought CounterSpy. PS: I had Avast4PRO and SpySweeper and I didn,t see any problems with my pc…so can I use AIS and CS together with real time protection in both programs.

MBAM and CS works together,right?

Have a nice day

As the saying goes There’s a sucker born every minute

You must be younger than 20?

No I,m 21 and “Ponosen Uporabnik” means Proud User. Have a nice day

Do you have to buy a license every year for CounterSpy ? On Malwarebytes PRO you only pay one time for a liftime license

Provided you only use the free on-demand version of MBAM.

I remember being 21 and I knew everything then I had to go through the School of Hard Knocks that taught me I knew little!

Your signature signifies you know little.
