Please someone help me my pc came up with trojan-gen (delphi
) in my c:\RECYCLER\5-1-5-21.This is the first virus I’ve ever encountered and I only know computer basics. This is my hi-jack can someone look at it and spoon feed me directions :PLogfile of HijackThis v1.99.1

I’m not sure if ths isn’t just something in your recycle bin in which case empty the recycle bin and scan again.

Your log looks clear but you can check this on-line analysis of your logfile. Check anything marked Possibly Nasty, Nasty (only one but I think it is normal but you probably don’t need it) or Unknown.

Ignore any 023 reference to avast processes, this is a hiccup in the HJT 1.99.1 (especially missing file entry for avast), if you need any help with any of the analysis let us know.

:-\ Hi again thank you so much for taking the time to help me. I have 2 files in my bin 1 named bla and 1 called gendel 32 I don’t know if I should delete them. All the nasties on my hi-jack are to do with bt yahoo internet and diallers I can’t delete that can I. The others are active x and CTFMon can I delete them I don’t know what they do sorry for bothering you again ;D

If they are in the recycle bin you deleted them or someone did, clearing the bin will only finalise that first decision and fully delete them, if they were required you would have found out by now.

You must be able to identify what this is (visit the web site) and if it needs to be there

CTFmon is marked as safe I believe.
