I would still rather Avast fix their issue than for me having to go into advance Chrome settings in order to fix something that is clearly being caused by Avast’s interaction with the browser.
First I can’t recall ever changing anything in that about config setting and most of mine are set to True.
Yet I’m not experiencing any issues.
As this about config entry relates to http connections and not https connections.
I have Firefox only to connect to https secure connections, so I would assume (dangerous I know) that is why I don’t suffer from YouTube issues others are.
I have the same issues as well since the last update (25.3.9983a (build 25.3.9983.926)). It is mostly on YouTube, Facebook & Instagram as well as other websites. For the past month it makes websurfing a real pain until I disable Avast which is unwise.
I disabled at least the QUIC/HTTP3 scanning within Avast and it seems to have improved my surfing experience greatly until they fix things within Avast.
i had a update 25.3 waiting that was dated 9th april but it wasnt there yesterday so i updated even though set to auto update that hasnt worked for years.
now its showing as 25.4 dated 25th april installed.
It is mostly fixed now. It is a lot better then before but not perfect. Now & again I still have problems with YouTube videos. Then I disable Avast wait for the video to load & re-enable Avast again.
