I know this might be in the wrong place, but I wanted to make sure someone saw it. There is a vulnerability in YouTube for Android that allows the hacker/attacker to take over the volume controls of your device and adjust the volume up and down. I have experienced this while using headphones. I have seen the volume controls deliberately and intentionally appear on the screen and methodically adjust the sound up and down while I’m watching videos. Also, such as like today, April 1, 2025, I was watching a creator’s video and it kept switching from video to video when I attempted to play it. Prior to, I left the video accidentally and tried to return to the spot I had left off using the slider where you adjust the time of where the video is at and it started switching to other videos. The first time I encountered the volume incident was in 2024 and I reported it to Google/YouTube. I have reported it to Google/YouTube several times already in 2025 along with that of videos being switched while I’m watching them. I am using a Galaxy S24 Ultra. Android 14. I have Avast on my cell phone. I am in the USA. I’m not sure if this exploit exists on the desktop version of YouTube if you’re on a PC or Mac, but I would check. Thanks for the help.
