2 "iexplore.exe" in task manager!!..???

Hello, i think i have a virus because i have 2 “iexplore.exe” in my task manager, and when i stop one of them, it restart automatically…i did a scan with avast (home edition with the lasts update), and it find nothing…how could i solve this problem??? ???

Try to use Process Explorer and check the full path of the running images. What is it?

thanks, i 'll try, and i ll tell you…is it shareware, or freeware??? :o

It is a very poweful free tool. It’s somehow similar to Windows Task Manager, bug gives you more possibilities. If you select the iexplore.exe process and check its Properties / Image, you should see the full path to the file.

nice soft !!..ok so…i have a “iexplore.exe” that have a parent named “winldra.exe”…what is this process?..

i see the command line :““C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe” C:\WINNT\TEMP\fe43e701.htm”,
and the path seems to be allright :"“C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe”

It’s quite normal to have multiple iexplore.exe’s in Task Manager, isn’t it?
For example, right now I have 4 of them there…

Each time you start it, you have it there. What’s the mystery? :stuck_out_tongue:

“winldra.exe”, seems to be a virus…(dumaru???)

normally, i have just one "iexplore.exe"in task , whatever the number of IE windows open…

Well, having more instances of iexplore.exe is normal, but automatical restarting if any of them is closed (as the original post suggested), it seems suspicious…

now, it’s ok!..that was a virus and i reach in deletting this “winldra.exe” with hijack… ;D
