To know how to post a screenshot, see http://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=8982.0
You can use Gadwin PrintScreen to get a screenshot (http://www.gadwin.com/printscreen/) or the free version of WinSnap 1.1.10 (http://www.filehippo.com/download_winsnap/?2173).

Of course not…

Set ShowHelpCheckList=1 at [Simple] section of avast4.ini file

no tech i mean if i enable webshield i do loose internet

Check if C:\Program Files\Alwil Software\Avast4\ashWebSv.exe is allowed to connect into your firewall settings (server rights).

yes it has full access server rights i even disabled the firewall but loose connection as soon as its enabled

Do you use any proxy?

no i have dsl 2 pc’s connected through router

No… I mean a software that uses a proxy (like annonimizers, etc.).
Does the connection problem occur with any browser or just Firefox?

no i only use for realtime protection the three mentioned above and it happens with ff and ie7

Remove the entry for avast in Comodo and try again, answering yes to the connection questions…

no didnt work removed and comodo asked and i allowed full access

Please, post the last 100-150 lines of avast log: C:\Program Files\Alwil Software\Avast4\DATA\log\Setup.log

sorry for not replying to my post in awhile but went out of town for work,i found the culprit it is when i have web shield activated with comodo firewall 3 i cant connect i also just posted this in the comodo forum,im not getting that script error anymore so thats done.

Is ashWebSv.exe allowed to connect into the Comodo Application settings?

yup i have it set to trusted app.,maybe its an incompatibility with tere version 3?anyone else using these 2 together, remember version 3 not 2

Delete the entry for ashwebsv.exe in comodo, this will force it to ask permission again, sometimes firewall seem to have amnesia even though an application has permission it is still blocked.

i tried that a bunch of times but heres a response i got back from comodo forum

Most AV “web” shields interfere with connectivity when a solid firewall is used. They’re competing for resources against the firewall, and this typically results in problems.

What a load of tosh.

yup that sure is the problem i uninstalled comodo firewall and no problems at all

Now what are you doing for a firewall now or have you reinstalled it, for the most part forum members haven’t had any problems with it but some have.
