I think Avast needs to get serious and fix the current issues with the multiple Network Inspector shield Popups after the 25.2.xxxx program update. Fix the problem Network Inspector popups that are plaguing the Community topics.

This really should never got past Alpha or Beta testing.

I have effectively had to uncheck all Network Inspector options to get peace along with many others.

No matrix here with beta, that’s too bad

Strangely enough, I didn’t get any network inspector alert while beta testing. So there must be some other conditions involved

No laughing matter. I thought the moving [REPORT AN ISSUE] was using the same dodging methods Avast seem to have adopted for those seeking refunds and other support. I am seeing too many complaints here on the forum on the subject of payments and refunds of late. Perhaps Avast should give that attention instead of April Fools stunts.

There’s no mention of any changes to the Network Inspector shield in any of the 25.2 series beta notifications:

Maybe, if there had been, a beta tester would have focused more on that section of the program.

Avast team has time for games and jokes, but not to post critical change logs to improve the product and testers’ capabilities. It looks to me like Avast users are being used as chumps by Avast.

A former beta tester.

Stop putting Avast icons on my desktop. It happened today without even updating the program. Then after updating it again placed an icon.

Stop it! And as everybody has mentioned: you have time for this crap but not actual fixes?? What the hell… I want my computer security to be taken seriously. No jokes or antics. How this isn’t opt in instead of opt out is beyond me.

I think it’s now a bit off-topic.

In my knowledge and experience of software development in this scale, each functions are handled by different personnel/groups. That means stopping or running these “fun” things does not affect other tasks like fixing bugs, and even the team tasked for “fun” thing freed from it, they can’t be tasked to other things because it’s not their specialty.
I’m not sure how Avast development works but I think it’s worth to note that “Stop playing, get work” thingies may not work against general expectations.

How about: “Stop playing games with the GUI, I want my AV to be dependable and predictable”?

Stop playing games and fix the damn crap password manager that doesn’t auto-fill username fields anymore

How can any post here be off-topic when the thread is intended to be an amusement? If the topic is inappropriate, delete the topic. Don’t chastise the posters.

The topic might have been notifying people about Avasts April Fools joke - but the multiple topics - where many users are wondering if Avast hasn’t been hacked, they are unlikely to even read this.

For them it isn’t a joke.

This topic is for April-fools joke, not for bumping up existing other issues. They should be treated in their own topic, not here, IMHO.
