[2283] Phantom detections

So, I’ve noticed 2 notifications. 1 that is there since the beginning of BETA builds which just wouldn’t go away and the second one which appeared few hours ago and I haven’t even noticed it. It says “object” was detected and I should open Virus Chest to see it. But when I open the Virus Chest, it’s just empty. What’s going on?

This is why I said we need scan/detection log for real-time detections as well and not just for on-demand scans.

I think I did get a Web Shield blocking warning during browsing, but clearly, this is a bug. avast! should be able to differentiate disk detections (which can have quarantined file) and web based detections where stuff is blocked and can’t be quarantined.

I think this is what’s causing this confusion. Needed a minute or two to figure it out.

Confirmed, same here.

Same boat here. I also think this was caused by Web Shield detection (which I tested eicar).

I created an account because of this issue. It’s very annoying. What was the threat? I would like to trace it. It seems to be happening randomly in my browsing pattern. So frustrating!
