3 viruses avg, avira and avast can not detect

avg, avira and avast are useless at detecting

1.Config.Msi virus folder(hidden viruses)
2.RECYCLER (hidden viruses)
3.SystemRestore(hidden viruses)

Yes , they are all the free ones
detect all 3 during Shielding not scanning for those few of you that actually know the difference between Shielding and scanning viruses !!!
can anyone tell me if you have noticed this ?

I will even buy Norton if it shields from these 3 viruses

Huh?

(1) RECYCLER
avast! always detect this file whenever Flash Disks from untrusted user is plugged onto my PC. A few years ago, I had this detected with AVG too. Same thing for Avira.

(2) System Restore
this one is a hot topic in the forums. Many people asks how to remove the trojan that avast! found in a system restore file. So I am sure that avast could detect this one. Avira is sure to be able to detect his one too. I am quite unsure about AVG.

(3) Config.msi
haven’t heard of this one yet. The real config.msi is hidden at C:/.

I think you mean “remove” not detect.

Recycler: these files are already deleted- you just need to empty the trash.

System Restore: these files are protected by Windows. Removing an infected file will break a System Restore point- a good reason for not removing them (better an infected restore than no restore option).

I’m not actual sure which AV’s can or will delete infected System Restore points. As far as I know, no malware can start from there and using Windows to delete the files is the best option.

Delete infected System Restore points using Windows.

Config.Msi

Ditto.

Maybe you are all using the paid version of Avast, mine is a trial and runs out in 60 days.

Nope. I’m using avast! Home, the free one.

Besides that, the free and paid versions use the exact same scanner. So, there would be no difference.

With that, I’m starting to wonder where did you get that info that the 3 A’s could not detect those files?
