i think i am beginning to understand a little. the icons that i have been talking about are at the top of the enhanced interface. they do not all light up at the same time different ones light up or show up as you do different things like the chest icon / alerts / scheduler / task and their are others also.for some one that has never used this virus scan the instructions don’t seem to be that clear on some things.

i ran a full scan of my computer last night and avast 4.8 pro found three virus >:( it took it 4 hours and forty min to run. they are now in the chest what do i do with them do i just leave them in their ? ??? do i send any type of reports avast and if so how to send them ? ???

keep the in the chest for a week or two and then scan them again(to ensure that these are not false positives)…then if they are indeed infected delete them…

Ok but how do you scan them again aren’t they off limits in the chest?

By opening the Chest, right click the avast Enhanced User Interface, select Virus Chest, Infected files section Highlight the file you wish to scan, right click and select Scan.

Access to the Chest is off-limits for all other than avast!

Thanks

You’re welcome.
