I was playing 9 dragons w/a cup of coffee this morning between 3:30am and 5:00 CST. Everything was fine and the program started up w/no problems. Somewhere between there and here Avast and McAfee both have started flagging the exe file as malware. Someones prompt attention needs to be applied to this issue. Both Avast and Acclaim are international providers and there are probably thousands trying to figure out what happened in such a short period of time. Here is a link to the 9Dragons forum-
If you are using both Avast & McAfee on your computer at the same time, that might be part of your problem. It is a bad idea to use 2 or more resident av programs as they will give less protection instead of more protection. This is due to conflicts between the av programs.
Hello,
try to rescan with curent VPS (100121-0) and if still detected then send us (virus@avast.com) the file to analyze and put the “false positive” to subject.
just a few minutes ago and didn’t have any more problems with Avast stopping it as malware so I am hoping things are taken care of. I haven’t rerun the virus scanner since this morning, but will tonight while I am in bed (takes almost 3 hrs). No I don’t have both Avast and McAfee installed. I know the problems this could cause. I was just stating that this was an issue with both Avast and McAfee, but from the reports on Acclaims forums these were the only two that were stopping people from playing the game. I do know now how to submit files for the possibility of false positives because of your help and I thank you for this.
