a blue screen bug and suspect it is related to Avast Free Antivirus

While I was using HP Support Assistant to check for driver updates, the blue screen appeared with the code: DRIVER_VERIFIER_DETECTED_VIOLATION. After using WinDbg, it showed that the main issue is ‘Unable to verify timestamp for aswArPot.sys’. I found online that aswArPot.sys seems to be related to Avast. After I uninstalled Avast Free Antivirus, the blue screen issue stopped temporarily. Could a technician please explain what is happening? Can I download the latest version of Avast from the official website and continue using it?"
