Following the purchase of 50 licenses Endpoint Protection Suite desired to change the free version to the version with the paying administrative positions through the console.
Infrastructure:
The management server / console is installed on a Virtual Machine Windows Server 2008 R2.
This server also has the role of the print server.
This is a group of companies and our servers / computers are part of an Organisation Unit (OU) that are dedicated to us in the active directory (AD) on which we have administrator accounts.
2 active networks cards on the admin server (192.168.14.* + 192.168.16.)
3 subnets accessible by the admin server (192.168.10. + 192.168.11.* + 192.168.13.*)
The workstations have the free version installed.
Following the installation of the admin console, we encountered the following problems:
1- At the console connection, the server can not be detected.
2- Manually inserting the IP address of the server and connection => OK.
3- Spot Discovery → Find Computers → Properties:
Detection (Basic) with the use of AD makes the discovery of more than 2000 posts and it does not suit us. Our park includes NO more than 50 workstations / servers.
With research NT LAN, no stations / servers found on the subnet .13.
Search by range of IP @ is not possible?
Research on the dedicated OU Inside de AD is not possible?
4- Pakage Installation => OK for creation
5- Deployment Task => OK for creation
Task execution with different results in subnet .14 *:
a) The job stops after a few seconds with the error Failed (Access Denied). Same for the Domain Administrator and local accounts.
b) The task starts but never finishes. Nothing happens on the desktop
c) The task ends but nothing has been done on the desktop.
- Try to uninstall managed products.
Doesn’t work!
