A New Orange Icon Has Presented Itself on My TaskBar

Please help me remove it.

Nothing that I can see is CHECKED in the settings.

???

??? Some better description or screenshot? ???

sounds more like a stupid joke than anything >>> orange icon is probably the avast one >>> the guy is bored, obviously ::slight_smile:

edit: @ the OP: unless you really got a screen shot giving some justification to this thread ??? I think he’s looking for a way to deactivate the avast tray icon in the UI settings.

see screenshot, and try to make a clear post next time… ::slight_smile:

see post above ;D

Well see above. And really, it’s the very first tab when you enter settings, how about some effort to find out yourself? :frowning:

That’s how it should look like, so where’s your problem…??

I’ve had this program for a while - always DISABLED the icon from tray. Today, upon turning the computer on it presented itself. Nothing is checked in settings. I do not WANT this icon in the tray.

Read the thread…!!! All info is already here… ;D

which thread?

This one…!!! ::slight_smile:

Forget it. I will find out how to do this somewhere else.

;D good ;D

For anyone else who has had a similar problem - I just found out that if you go into settings and CHECK the show icon box, save and go back into settings and uncheck it - this will remove the icon from the taskbar.

Good luck to anyone needing actual help here.

??? I meant the thread you are looking at right now. (You even started it…!!)
Logos posted the answer here. (yes, in this thread, the one you started…!!!)

you’re doing that purposely, right?..if not I feel sorry for you :frowning:

  1. This is indeed no problem at all…!!! (Your solution is that one, Logos posted before…!!!)
  2. What do you mean…?? Everyone on this topic tried to help you…!!! It’s your problem, if you don’t get the obvious…

Some people just love wasting other people’s time, huh? ??? :o :frowning:

It seems so… :frowning:

I think this may have been misread…the way I read the posts here, it seems as though, even with the setting UNchecked the icon appeared.

What ever caused this I don’t know, but the action of checking and then uncheck it, must have corrected the error.

Some of you lot seem to be so ready to argue with people at the moment… ::slight_smile:
