A problem with the latest update

I’ll get straight to the point; the latest version of Avast! which I updated to today seems to have a lot of issues when installed on my computer.

I updated to the latest version today, only to find that whenever I start up the computer, Avast! says it has a problem and isn’t connected to an account, when I click fix now it says the problem is fixed. Moments later my computer will stall. I can move the mouse around but that’s it, no ctrl+alt+delete, nothing. I tried restarting a few times and it kept happening. I went into safe mode and uninstalled the program, after that my computer had no problems.

Since I’ve always loved Avast!'s performance I decided to try reinstalling the program, which worked… Sort of. Avast will tell me that in 30 days my protection will expire if I don’t register it. If I click to register it, the computer stalls just as before. If I don’t click to register it, my computer’s performance plummets and every program runs very slowly (explorer.exe included).
I also noted that trying to change any of the Cloud computing settings stalled my computer as well.

As of right now I have the program uninstalled, but I’d really like to get it back up and running properly like it did before I updated it. I’ve always been very satisfied with Avast! until now.

Any ideas?

Try to install it once again. If the problem persists then there is a option for generating the reports under the troubleshoot tab in settings. Check all the checkboxes there. Submit the generated file to Technical support team of Avast.
