A question about Script Blocking.

I noticed that as I start Inernet Explorer the Script Blockong module starts. However, when I start Firefox (formerly known as Firebird) it does not. There are three browsers in the Script Blocking settings (IE, Netscape, Mozilla). Since Firefox is basically Mozilla, I am wondering why the module does not start when I launch Firefox.
And another question: Does Opera not need Script Blocking?

Faffy

Well, the question doesn’t stand whether it is needed, I’m afraid - but rather if it can be done at all. Even for IE and Netscape, Script Blocking is quite a big hack - and Opera has a monolitic design that doesn’t make this kind of tricks possible :frowning:

This answers the first question as well - even though Firefox may originate from Mozilla, there has been some changes probably; therefore, the Mozilla Script Blocker module won’t work here.

faffy, sorry using your forum ;D
Igor, does the Script Blocking works in programs like MyIE2 browser?

No idea… why don’t you try?

I’m trying but I don’t see the ‘splash screen’ and the ‘detailed information’ near to the system tray…

If the splash-screen doesn’t appear (and it is set to), then it probably doesn’t work with MyIE2. You would see the “Last scanned” items in the resident protection control window…

Nothing

MyIE2 is a multipage browser based on the Internet Explorer core (IE 5.x or 6.0 required). It supports special plug-ins and IE extensions, and its features include … external tools, plug-in support, a newsgroup browsing mode, … The latest release features support for RSSExplorer. Why avast! does not work with it?
