One thing that I noticed and which was slightly annoying was, that if I for example want to go to page 75 on a board, I have to click through page numbers until I actually get to it.
Maybe you could have a little thing in which you put a page number and can skip to that page, instead having to click through it.

I have passed for the same situation more than once :
In all honesty I have never needed this type of function, so I haven’t even noticed it isn’t there.
There aren’t many topics in excess of 20 pages much less 75. Mainly it would be those topics which are groupings of common subjects, >> Updates <<, Interesting, Security warnings, etc. etc.
I would say how do you know something is on page 75 in the first place, I know this is perhaps an exaggerated example. But most people wouldn’t know what they search for is on page 75 so they wouldn’t benefit from the ability to go to a specific page if that function were available.
I have just tried the existing system and if I knew something was on page 75, but I didn’t have a link/bookmark to the bit I wanted, clicking through took about 13 seconds as that was about the number of clicks I did as I wasn’t reading the pages, just clicking the last page in the range displayed.
As a work around - I could have made a good guess at it also http://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=9671.1050 1050 is the post number at the start of a page (71 in this case) so that is 15 posts per page (a constant) so I could change the above url to http://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=9671.1110 (74 pages x 15) which takes me to page 75.
