A Strange and Possibly Threatening Problem [Apple/Mac]

Hello Everyone!

I am more here for a recommendation than anything else. I was trying to get to my gmail inbox today on my macbook pro (bought mid-2010) and instead just typed in www. gmailc into Mozilla Firefox before hitting enter. How I did this, I do not know. Probably a brainfart. Regardless, as soon as I hit enter, it tried to bring me to a different website, and I hit stop. However, as soon as I tried to “back” out of the page, it began redirecting me through a series of websites suspect in nature before finally stopping at a strange .net website advertising asian dating services. Of course, I immediately panicked and began performing a full scan using Avast! Free, though am still worried about possible compromised information. Can anyone deliver any information about these websites? They luckily all show up in my history, so I am including them below in order by which they linked, though not in hyperlink so as to protect everyone else. This is the reason for the space in-between the colon and p.

The last link listed is the one the whole sequence ended on. Is there anything anyone can do? Thank you for your help, because honestly I feel like a dumbass.

Sincerely,

As a short update: Avast! Free found no infected files, but was unable to scan 15 of them.

How do I handle files that avast! can’t scan? https://blog.avast.com/2014/02/28/how-do-i-handle-files-that-avast-cant-scan/
