Please ‘modify’ your post change the URL from http to hXXp, to break the link and avoid accidental exposure to suspect sites, thanks.
Does this happen if you aren’t using Chrome, such as Firefox ?
If not then it is possibly a new add-on you have added to Chrome recently, any new add-ons like this ?
You could also try running Chrome without add-ons and see if any of these warnings ?
A screenshot of this warning might help us as there is insufficient to determine what the warning is and by what function.
sorry
I changed it to hxxp.
Not verified by FIREFOX.
Verify and report using FIREFOX.
Thank you
Sorry are you saying it is also verified using firefox ?
If so can you post a screenshot of the Warning.
There was no warning in firefox.
OK you need to check for new add-on extensions in Chrome as they could be responsible for the connection.
And what warning was given in Chrome, as I mentioned a screenshot help us to try and help you as we can’t see what you are seeing.
Downloader for Instagram
Source: aboveradiant
The warning disappeared when I removed the extension.
Did you actually install this chrome extension ?
If not I would remove it and see if you get any recurrence of the alert (I would think not) ?
The site doesn’t have a great security rating https://sitecheck.sucuri.net/results/script-protection.com and considered a Medium Security Risk. This may or may not have anything to do with avast considering its URL being Blacklisted.
And other issues reported here https://webhint.io/scanner/011733ec-8f27-49a6-a277-92a7d94c2d0d
This is an extension that I have been using for a year.
After removing it, the warning disappeared.
I don’t know why it would be accessing the script-protection.com site or if this issue with the site being classed as URL:Blacklist is a recent thing. But given the points raised in the two links I gave could have made it vulnerable to attack.
You could try another Instagram Downloader and see if it uses different resources.
