ACDSee32.exe detected to be a virus...

Hi. I’m using avast! v.4.7 antivirus protection on my home PC, and I feel very secure using it.
However with the virus update on 2006-08-18 it detects < ACDSee32.exe > to be a virus: < Win32:CIH-C [Trj] > . This program is from 1998 or earlier, and has not previously been determined as a virus.
Just to be sure, I also scanned with a Symantec scanner, and it didn’t report any problem.
Please check if this could be an error in the virus database.

We’ve had a similar report a few days ago and after checking the file, we found the virus inside.

So, I think that the file is indeed infected, or more likely, was infected in the past and was disinfected imcompletely (so pieces of virus were still left). Hard to say for sure without seeing the file, of course, but I’d suggest to replace the file with the original, if you still have the installer.
