Hi,
I use Active Campaign which is one of the big email service providers.
For the past few months, I’ve been getting reports that Avast (and Nord) antivirus are blocking the active campaign ‘tracking’ links, that allow me to tag customers if they open an email.
Links directly to my website https://howtofightnow.com/ are not being blocked, so this is not a matter of the destination URL having some kind of malware problem. It’s only the tracking links that are blocked, but it’s also basically impossible for the Active Campaign tracking link to be infected in any way… unless it’s the tracking itself causing the issue.
Here is an example link:
Here is the message that avast is sending to my users:
“This site contains harmful programs
Web Shield has detected a variety of malicious items on fightsmart.lt.acemlnb.com that might attempt to install harmful programs on your computer that can modify and delete your files, change your browser settings, or steal information (i.e. photos, passwords, messages, credit cards).”
This message is crazy. It’s a billion dollar email service provider, and my site is scanned by Sucuri daily for malware and viruses, on top of being behind a WAF and a server side firewall.
Please help me resolve this.
