We’re a pretty small school rolling out Avast.
Initially, we installed each client as a standalone client and didnt put in in an IP/Host for the SOA.
I’ve now installed SOA on one of our machines and want to manage all clients from there.
So how do I tell each client to now point to the IP of the new SOA.
Is there a simple ini file (avast5.ini in ProgramData perhaps?) that I can change?
Or will I have to go round and manually install over the top again?
Open the Avast! on each PC → Click on Settings on the right-hand side → Click on Troubleshooting in the left-side list → Click on the avast! Administration console, down arrow → put in the server name or IP. I did try to find a registry or ini key to install but was unable to.
Unfortunately that option does not exist in the troubleshooting section.
When I originally installed, it did mention that you dont have to put an SOA address in but can add one later.
So now I have an SOA console but am not sure how to redirect my existing clients to it.
