ADNM and pushing network version of Avast out to workstations...

Currently I am running a 2003 Domain.
I installed the ADNM on the PD and it has discovered all of the workstations that are on the network.
I also have GPO installed on the domain servers.
I don’t have an exchange server or any other facility to use the plugins. I have very stupid users the could not find their way out of a paper bag.

Prior to purchasing the network version the workstations have standalone versions of Pro installed. Is this a problem? If so how does one resolve the standalone version removal without going to each workstation?

I have both the 4.8 and 5.0 standalone versions installed on the workstations.

The ADNM reports the computers discovered does not have an agent loaded on the workstation.

Just how does the agent get pushed out to the workstation?

If anyone needs any more info, please let me know.

the 4.8 pro versions will not be a problem, the ADNM netclient can be installed over them… the installation process will take care of it

the 5.0 clients will not work, you have to visit the computer and uninstall with the special avast cleaner tool

If you haven’t deployed the v5 clients yet, I would encourage you to hold off and wait until ADNM v5 is released. 4.8 provides a great scanning engine and is great for a large network… plus if you deploy managed 4.8 clients you can push out v5 updates when that product is released.
