Adobe Reader DC interface blank after most recent update

Anyone else seem their Adobe Reader software go screwy after the most recent Avast update?

I know it’s related to Avast Internet Security. It happened after the latest update. When I open Adobe Reader (either XI or DC version) I get this (see attached JPG). Anybody else seeing this?

I’m running Windows 7 Prof, 64bit, 8GB RAM, 1TB HDD, AMD Phenom II x6 1090T 3.21GHz processor, Avast Internet Security 17.6.2310 (build 17.6.3625.0) with virus def 170907-6, Malwarebytes Premium 3.2.2.2018, component pkg 1.0.188, update pkg 1.0.2749.
If I uninstall Avast, using the regular Control Panel uninstall, Adobe Reader works fine, the GUI comes back - opens PDFs - all is good. The instant I re-install Avast Internet Security, the Adobe Reader problem returns, just like the above JPG.
Any ideas?

I’ll raise you one. Since Avast! auto-update this morning, not only does Acrobat DC go blank and lose tabs, but when I try to save anything from the web (any browser) the “save as” GUI is blank, so I can’t do any downloads! Glad to hear that I’m not losing my mind and that the problem goes away when Avast is uninstalled, but that’s not much of a solution is it? So I’m hoping Avast! fixes this right away. I was on the verge of restoring my system from a month-old backup, but I’ll give them another day or so.
