Hello,
I’m the developer of AdwCleaner ( a disinfection tool designed to remove adware, toolbars and PUP ) and every time I update my program, avast detects it. Is there a chance to whitelist it so it won’t be detected even if I update it ?
I suppose your detection is because AdwCleaner is written in AutoIT but it’s a safe program.
Official links to download it :

Xplode.

A update can always trigger a alert.
Simply because it is not possible to know up front what is changed in the update.
avast pro version 2014.9.0.2018
v.p.s. version 20140427-0
Is not detecting adwcleaner 3.2.0.4. as malware.
Looks like the problem is solved already.
EDIT:
There are more that detect malware:
CMC - Trojan.Win32.Generic!O
DrWeb - Trojan.Botnetlog.9
TrendMicro-HouseCall - TROJ_GEN.F47V0426

I suggest to contact the guys at the viruslab directly: virus@avast.com
Ah, Hello Xplode.
It’s been reported many times. And consdering the removal team here uses it, they’d like the FP to be removed as well.
