. . . . i can’t figure out how to get the sound back on my system.
I did a boot scan and chose delete option. the viruses were in my system volume inf. restore
The strange thing was that the first time I turned the computer on after this, the sound worked and then after a minute stopped working and now there is no sound and it shows that I have no sound devices when I go to the control panel.
Any ideas what to do?
I tried putting in a CD with software for reinstallation but it does not start on its own and I don’t know which folder to open to get to the sound.
From device manager check changed devices"be sure you put the cd in the drive"a window will open and guide you to install drivers from the cd"Gigabye, asus, msi,…i dont know what motherboard or sound card you have"
OR MAYBE you should check your sound settings from control panel dont forget to check the volume also from system tray
Sorry for my English today
when I first start the computer the sound works normally and I’m able to play all my files.
Then, completely randomely, after a while they don’t play.
When I do the device manager thing–under “volume” it looks like there are no sound devices but when I go to the hardware tab, it says that the devices are operating normally. The strange thing is that under location it says “unknown”, whereas all other hardware components have a specified location.
This morning just before I opened any browser I did a quick avast scan again and it showed that one system volume information (.dll) has been infected by Trojan-gen and I moved it to Avast Chest (when this happened yesterday, I deleted them–still not sure what is better). Then everything worked normally for a while and now again I have no sound.
???
Thanks again in advance for any suggestions on how to fix this.
