after cleanup i can't open my msword docs

Unfortunately, i clicked on a clean up icon supposedly to clear space or speed my machine up, I don’t recall which. Now, I cannot access my word docs.

What clean up button? Was it from Avast? More detail would help.

I had the similar problem, did a cleanup and all passwords are gone, a tedious restore work for sure.
