After running a temp file scan....5 items show but I cannot do anything to them

After running a temp file scan…5 items show but I cannot do anything with them…

I run either a quikie scan or a full scan and NOTHING shows up…
but when I run a temp file/folder scan(aka Inet)…5 things show/come up…
but…the drop down box(delete/nothing/move/etc.) does NOT work…
and I cannot select anything…PLEASE ADVISE.

RE: POP UP ON EMAIL SITE ONLY

you dont say what avast say about those files?

a screenshot will help…

Nothing on the SCAN RESULTS page works…ie…I cannot click/enter/anything…
“five threats detected”…

please advise.

what threat…malware name?
file name…location, full file path?

post screenshot…

I would LOVE to screen shot…but TRULY…I cannot do anything…but I will copy via “eye ball”…here we go:

process 816 msmpeng.exe memory block high threat Win32:Small-HUF(trojan)
Process 816 high threat HTML:Iframe-HW(trj
" high threat Bleah-D
" high threat Win32:Bolzano-W
" high Threat Win32: Gremo

===========================================================

again…I cannot do anything on the scan result page…nothing…click/enter/copy…nothing…it is there
but I cannot do anything…

your problem is that yoh have changed the default scan settings…and selected “scan memory”
this will give some veird scan results…also it is a memory process, not a file so cant be deleted/moved to quarantine so buttons are gray and none working

mspeng.exe belongs to microsoft defender, so you are detecting MSdefender virus signatures loaded in memory

dont use the “scan memory” settings…if you dont know the result, dont change default scan settings

this is the second most asked question in the forum.
detection in memory / memory scan. searc the forum for more info

the most asked is files that can not be scanned

so the constant “pop up” that I keep getting on my email account…has nothing to do with these results?

Avast: MAL

this is NOT from an email…but just clicking the inbox or delete box or junk box…

is that all… avast mal ?

again, a screenshot would be nice!
if you dont know how to… google how to do screenshots…or search youtube for how to video

if you think you are infected and need a check… follw this guide and attach the logs requested
