I have Avast Premier (5 systems, 3 years, expires May 2018):
I messed up for two reasons:
-
I tried the privacy data file fragment shredder feature and now:
1A) There is little (about 2GB) of space left on my boot drive.
1B) AvastUI won’t start. -
I called Avast and they want more to fix this problem than the product cost me to buy (5 systems and 3 years).
Dudes, I found a bug and you want me to pay for it? If I knew the Premier came without bug support, I’d chosen a different product and manufacturer.
I’m hoping someone with Avast or such will say: Wait, we don’t charge for bug support! You got a bad rep and here is how we can help you. On the other hand, if it is policy to have customer pay for fixing Avast bugs, well, I am moving. I’m not buying the product and paying to fix your programming errors. NOT FAIR! You could be putting bugs in to get us to pay you more money!
