Does any one know exactly what this is. Is it just another social club?
I’m seeing more and more of it.
Thanks

Dear dan,
Thank you for confirming your AGLOCO Membership!
Your AGLOCO Member ID# is:@@@@@@@@(edited)
You’ve taken the first step, but to make your Membership even more valuable, there’s something more you should do:
TELL YOUR FRIENDS TO JOIN AGLOCO!
AGLOCO needs your help to grow the network. Over 90% of all new Members are referred by existing Members. The larger the AGLOCO community grows, the more valuable it becomes for all Members, and the more you can earn yourself.

When they click on that link, they will be taken directly to the sign-up page, and the system will automatically credit you with the referral once they’ve confirmed their membership.
Your friends can also just go the AGLOCO home page, click the Join Now button, and enter your Member ID to credit you with the referral. (But clicking the link is easier.)
You can also promote AGLOCO on your blog or webpage. Some Members are promoting AGLOCO on their MySpace and Facebook pages, and on their LiveJournal and Blogspot blogs. But most are just sending emails to friends and contacts to do this(typically sending out between 10 to 200 invitation emails.)
To see samples of some things to say in your emails, and other tips visit the AGLOCO Referral Center at http://www.agloco.com/web/guest/referralcenter.
AGLOCO rewards Members who help grow the network, so get busy!
Thanks,
Dan Jorgensen

It’s “pyramid scheme” spelled backwards.

Product distribution: When Members agree to use a product, such as cell phones, high-tech gadgets, office supplies, new credit cards or financial services, AGLOCO can collect referral fees. Some companies even offer special rebate and cash-back programs.
AGLOCO Members make money in four ways.
Members earn a monthly share of the AGLOCO revenue based on the use of the AGLOCO Viewbar™ that month.
Members earn part of the company based on the use of the AGLOCO Viewbar™ that month (currently a maximum of five hours are rewarded).
Members who use our referral system to help build the AGLOCO network will earn more. (AGLOCO only has significant value as a large network and people who help build it should be rewarded. – We also feel that the early users who told friends about YouTube or MySpace or even Google probably deserved something too, but no referral system was available to record their work).
Members will also get a share of any commissions AGLOCO gets when a Member purchases a product or service from an AGLOCO Sponsor company.

Bob, the business model is explained clearly in the article I linked above.
Also, take a look at the link in that article “Check out this article from Business 2.0 on AllAdvantage”, which is a pdf file.

can’t get something for nothing
If this is nothing more than a pyramid scheme, then it relly shouldn’t be here.
If there’s more to it and /or it has a useful purpose, then I’d still like to know what it is.
Seems to be hi-tech adware to me. >:(
