It was posted in the update section on the 6th of June by SpeedyPC  http://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=9671.msg792068#msg792068

My mistake sorry - i didn’t notice the build number change :-[

Me neither, still it should go to the update thread.

Agreed and just the firewall notice - not the rest of it.

Absolutely…!!

@Craigb I have confirmed this as the new version build number has change, you mind want to try again since you were having problems on you’re screwed lappy ;D

Edit: @Craigb once you’ve installed the latest build and after the reboot go back to Outpost Pro and click onto update, because I’ve noticed some huge patches we added so don’t forget

im slowly starting to really like the sound of this firewall.
Im currently using online armor which seems very solid.
Is there any particular reason i would want to use outpost instead of OA.?
I was using the comodo firewall but i understand there is a problem with their firewall and avast.
I really like avast and dont want to use anything else.

@ Arnold.
I’ve evaluated and used both OA and OP (Free and PRo Versions) over the recent years and IMHO
both are equally exceptional firewalls.

Edit: Both work great along side Avast

Thank you for your response i appreciate that.im going to stick with online armor.
Regards.

this thread should have been deleted after the first post, but now that you guys have answered and posted repeatedly, what’s supposed to happen? The thread is of course obviously promoting the competition, and wouldn’t have deserved more than one line in the update section.

+1

You can ask Mod to lock this thread

It’s asked.
