As the title says, occasionally, upon system boot, my AIS starts with all shields disabled. No message prompts, internet connection remains active, but it takes a while to manually start the shields again. Today, as I managed to bring up the program to see what was taking so long, I noticed in it a message stating that I had 0 days left on my subscription, before the shields kicked in (after manual start) and the message was replaced by Subscription Active. Not sure if that’s relevant.
I’m running Windows 7 64-bit and use Private Internet Access VPN client (which has had an issue with Avast once before by being deleted from the system by it, but has since been very promptly resolved).
The only other security related programs I have are the mentioned Private Internet Access VPN and SUPERAntiSpyware Pro. This has been a new installation of AIS on a freshly installed OS, so there are no traces of old AV programs (besides, it has been good 10 years since I used anything other than Avast)
Haven’t tried repairing it yet as there didn’t seem to be anything else wrong with how AIS functions worked, once loaded.
